Pass Plus Course

Pass Plus is a training scheme for newly qualified drivers. It’s much more than just a few extra lessons. This specially designed course by the (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), with the help of insurers and the driving instruction industry, helps you to gain valuable driving experience safely whilst building on your existing driving skills and knowledge.

The Pass Plus course will help increase your road awareness and save you money on car insurance premiums

Pass Plus consists of six practical modules. Most of the modules you have covered in your professional driving lessons, but your driving instructor will reinforce all aspects of the drive to put you in good stead for driving independently.

The six modules are driving in town, in all weathers, on rural roads, at night, on dual carriageways and motorways

You can do the course at any time within the first 12 month of passing your test and the good thing is that there is no test at the end. Phew!!

Don’t worry if you haven’t got a car at the moment, you may be able to defer the insurance discount for up to two years. Check with one the insurance companies below.

Frequently Asked Questions

An intensive driving course enables you to fast track your driving lessons over a consecutive number of days. This helps towards quickly achieving your learning skills and goals.

The cost for an intensive driving course will depend on your level of driving experience and on how many hours you think you will require.

Your initial payment is paid at the booking stage, and the outstanding amount is paid to the recommend driving instructor, who you discuss payment options with.

Normally you will be picked up from an agreed destination. If this is not possible one of the Pass Now Team will contact you to discuss an alternative option.

When you have booked your intensive driving course, the pass now team will recommend a driving instructor in your postcode area. The driving instructor will contact you within 5 working days to discuss an agreed pickup destination.

You can purchase additional driving lessons from your driving instructor. Discuss with the instructors regarding what the hourly rate is.

All recommended driving instructors are qualified and approved by the Driver and Vehicle Standard Agency. (DVSA)

You must take your UK provisional driving licence, theory test pass certificate (if you have it) and a car if you are not using your driving instructors.

You will need to book another practical driving test with the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) and discuss how many additional driving lessons you will need to remedy the issues made on the test with your driving instructor.
